Central Otago Health Inc provides a link between the Dunstan Hospital and the regions in the Central Otago Community and appoints the directors from time to time.

This website outlines the services provided by Central Otago Health Inc., and provides another way for the community to access information. It is an online reference allowing one to see who the committee members are, how they are appointed or elected and gives contact details so they can help, if required.

Dunstan Hospital Official Opening 4/11/05
It was the Central Otago community which breathed life into the plans to redevelop Dunstan Hospital. The $10 million redeveloped facility was officially opened by the Prime Minister Helen Clark on Friday 4/11/05, with more than 300 invited guests in attendance. Otago District Health Board chairman Richard Thomson said the completion was a just reward for a community that had rallied around its hospital. "It's our building, but it's your hospital," Mr Thomson said. The ODHB owns the building but Central Otago Health Services Ltd operates the services from the hospital.
